Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the GapTracker app and this website. By using either service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use GapTracker.

1. About GapTracker

GapTracker is a study-planning tool that can help you organize courses, assignments, exams, knowledge gaps, focus sessions and grades. It provides planning information only and does not guarantee an academic result.

2. Eligibility and responsible use

You may use GapTracker only in compliance with applicable law, your institution’s rules and the terms of any connected service. If you are not old enough to accept these Terms where you live, a parent or legal guardian must do so.

You agree not to misuse the app or website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to violate another person’s rights.

3. License

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use GapTracker for your own educational purposes. GapTracker’s name, design, code and other materials remain owned by Ehab Marrid or their respective licensors.

4. Your content and academic data

You keep ownership of the information and files you add. You are responsible for having permission to use them and for keeping your own backups. You grant only the limited permission needed to process content for a feature you request, such as syllabus parsing or optional iCloud sync.

5. Connected and third-party services

GapTracker may interact with Apple iCloud, Moodle, Canvas, Cloudflare and Anthropic when you choose related features. Those services are operated by others and have their own terms, availability and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third-party service or for changes made by your institution.

6. App Store terms

If you download GapTracker through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable App Store and media-services terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing support for GapTracker except where required by law.

7. Availability and changes

We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to keep GapTracker reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. You should verify important dates, grades and imported information with your institution.

8. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GapTracker is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or guaranteed academic performance. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ehab Marrid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of GapTracker, including missed deadlines, lost data or academic outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount required by law.

10. Ending use

You may stop using GapTracker at any time. We may restrict access when needed to protect the service, comply with law or respond to serious misuse.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
